Importantly, high blood pressure is the #1 cause of preventable death worldwide and sodium is one of the leading causes of high blood pressure. Sodium Analyte Level Test (S.A.L.T.) is the first smartphone-based device on the market capable of measuring daily salt intake at home. The device, consisting of a disposable stick and mobile app, utilizes computer vision processing and a patented algorithm to provide a physiological measurement of daily salt intake from one urine sample.
